Charlotte is a British ceramicist, with a focus on wildlife and an eye for detail. Growing up on a farm and traveling across Africa are fundamental experiences that have instilled Charlotte’s affection for the natural environment. Studying in Ceramic Design at Central Saint Martins has allowed Charlotte to combine her admiration for all creatures great and small with clay. With Charlotte’s artistic vision her work strives to explore innovative ways to draw attention to declining wildlife and the natural world. Charlotte recreates animal furs, reptile scales, a wrinkly hide of a rhino, all with an ambition to render a vocabulary of emotions that embody each animal that she makes. Charlotte donates 15% of profits to support wildlife conservation around the world. Working from her studio in Rye, East Sussex, is where Charlotte’s work comes to life.
