About Process Show

In putting together our summer 2017 show “About Process” we reached out to our artists and asked them “What is unique about the way they interpret the world around them?”  We asked them to share with us their individual modus operandi that starts with a fresh idea and ends up in a finished work of art.
From their responses we have compiled a show made up of paired pieces of work from each artist, one a work in progress and the other a finished piece: a sketch and a watercolor, a study and an oil painting, each accompanied by the artist’s musings on his or her process, giving us a glimpse into the insights, skills, and techniques they bring to their work.  The following pages include several of these pairings, visit the gallery through July 16th to see the entire show in person.
