Please join us in congratulating distinguished landscape and wildlife painter, Ralph Oberg, who recently received the Wilson Hurley Award for Outstanding Landscape at the 2020 Prix de West. The painting, A Remnant of Wilderness, shares a glorious view of the rugged, Canadian Rocky Mountain backcountry.
This award is quite an honor. Oberg’s painting was chosen among the artwork of his peers at this well-regarded, invitational exhibition hosted by the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma. This exhibit gathers highly respected artists from the U.S and Canada who work in diverse styles from regional realism to impressionistic visions.
We are honored to represent Oberg’s awe-inspiring paintings. Every nuance of natural color and form speaks to a deep love of the mountains and a studied respect for the majesty of nature. Oberg has made a long career of traversing the backcountry to inform his paintings that accurately depict wildlife and celebrate the lands in which they live. His paintings have garnered numerous awards, in the States and abroad.
