Nicholas Reti

Owner/Artist

Since 2015, Nicholas has been building the gallery into what it is today - a culmination of some of the country’s best living painters, as well as Crested Butte’s finest collection of historical artwork by deceased masters. He brings with him the knowledge of a life lived fully for the arts, and you’d be lucky to have a conversation with him on any art subject of your choosing.

A recent addition to the Board of Directors at Trinidad’s A.R. Mitchell Museum of Western Art, he is constantly striving to widen the breadth of his knowledge of the western art world, both contemporary and historical.

When he isn’t in the gallery, Nicholas can often be found in the studio - he is regularly the gallery’s top-selling artist. His oil paintings, gouache studies, and linoleum block print series’ exude of a love of this valley he calls home. His next favorite places to be are on the trails, or happily lost in his garden. A lover of travel, some of his favorite trips include Antarctica, Africa, Italy, and Southeast Asia, and lately he is enjoying exploring far reaches of the Rocky Mountains with nothing but a backpack, a sketchbook, and good company.

Sarah Boston

director/artist

Sarah Boston is a self-taught artist originally from Great Falls, Montana. Raised in Russell country, she developed an early appreciation for Western art, which has informed her career over the past two decades. Specializing in highly realistic portraiture of both people and animals, she demonstrates technical expertise with media such as oil paint, soft pastel, and graphite, capturing intricate detail and emotion in each work. Her practice is characterized by a commitment to authenticity, frequently incorporating subtle narratives and meaningful elements.

Sarah actively contributes to the regional art community, including curating the annual “Resonance” exhibition at the A.R. Mitchell Museum of Western Art. Beyond her professional activities, she values time spent with her son, John.

Bren Corn

sales, artist representative, and artist

Bren has been an artist and mother living and working in the Gunnison Valley for over 30 years. The valley holds a special place in her heart thanks to her three children and grandbaby all being born in and continuing to reside here.

Bren brings to the gallery a deep knowledge of place and excitement for the arts - her own paintings included. Endlessly inspired by her surroundings, she rearranges prominent elements of the town to create one-of-a-kind compositions of Crested Butte and Gunnison and places you've traveled.

Always with enthusiasm and infectious energy, Bren enjoys working to engage the community and patrons with the gallery’s aesthetics and diverse artist roster.

While not working or painting, Bren enjoys skiing, hiking, socializing, and spending time with her family.

Cricket Farrington

Sales & artist representative

Cricket came to the gallery on the heels of a long and successful career in culinary arts in the D.C. metro area, where she cooked for both The White House and the Smithsonian. Coming to Crested Butte for lunch one afternoon in the 90’s, she bought a building the next day and never looked back.

Cricket brings years of expertise in the arts, a love for connecting with visitors to Crested Butte, and a special talent for making fine art approachable to children of all ages. Whether you’re looking for art chit chat, or shared life stories, she’s your gal.

When she isn’t in the gallery, you can find her growing one of Crested Butte’s most covetable flower gardens, her dog Murphy at her side, and spending time with friends and family.
