A trained teacher and painter, Nancy Becker has become a metal worker and jewelry designer by, as she says, “subconscious design.”
Careers ago, during her teaching days, Nancy studied silversmithing and lapidary arts with a Master in Santa Barbara, CA. Life changed, Nancy quit teaching and returned to college to study Graphic Design, leaving silver and silver working tools packed in a box.
Years later, after raising a family and a career in real estate, Nancy moved to Western Colorado. Here Nancy found the freedom to make art, and when Nancy re-opened the box of stored silversmithing tools she couldn’t resist. Now that the flame of Nancy’s jewelry making has been rekindled, she feels “like I should have kept my torch lit all these years.”
